See you later...

Due to the 'house blues' we're leaving....

We want to be away from here whilst the asbestos roof is being replaced, the entire house is being rewired and some other minor repairs are being attended to.

We're going here...

~to have a fun time away from our usual routine...

I expect to be back here in two to three weeks and I look forward to catching up on all that you share.
Thank you so very much for your continued support of all that I share.

Being able to visit with people around the world that I would not usually have the opportunity to meet has offered me a unique wealth of experience that I am grateful for.

See you later...
xoxo

Help needed...

Would you consider signing your name to help?...
'Black Fellas Dreaming Keeping Place'

The Keeping Place Aboriginal Cultural Centre has more than 1,400 paintings, 200 artefacts and sculptures from over 500 Aboriginal artists.

The Keeping Place also has a collection of more than 50,000 photographs recording Aboriginal stories spanning the last 30 years, as well as 80 rare posters.
They are being kicked out of their premises, and now desperately need a new space or the collection will be split up.

Lovers...

West of Perth city, Lake Monger

is home to lovers from all walks of life...

It is a perennial wetland

unlike other wetlands that dry up in the summer months.

Black Swans are found here all year round.

Swans stay paired with the same partner for life...

Eggs are laid between May and September.

Both male and female Swans take turns

sitting on the eggs, which take about

six weeks to hatch...

The results are beautiful
Cygnets (baby swans)

After hatching the Cygnets can swim and
feed on their own within a day.

The Cygnets stay with their parents
for most of their first year...

Wandering around Lake Monger I noticed
a number of birds happily travelling in pairs...

I also observed parents
and their youngsters...

no doubt as a result of being
Spring Lovers

Pukeko...

Yes it is happy Spring time in

my corner of the world x

I live here...

It's a beautiful day...

a little overcast, but perfect for a walk.

This is our street...
It's very different from where we last lived.

This amuses me...

I understand the request for No Junk Mail
as we get an abundance of it here.

I haven't purchased any honey here,

but if the local bees are anything to go by,

it should be good.

Amongst numerous reasons we chose to live in this suburb because we can walk to the beach.
Apart from the pleasure of being beside the sea, it offers what we call here in Perth the 'Fremantle Doctor' (sea breeze) which is much needed relief during the peak of summer when our temperatures can sit at 35c/95f degrees plus for days on end.
