Jewel Box

the below treasure was added 7/10/09

There are two reasons for this post. One to say thank you and the other to create a jewel box where I can store these treasures that have been bestowed upon me.

I recently accepted the above award from Matthew at Abodeonethree

and it comes with a request that I pass it onto four other bloggers along with a reason as to why I'm choosing them.

I'm also supposed to be sipping a cocktail whilst doing this, but I've opted for coffee instead.

Let's Live Forever ...

I enjoy the concept of Robin's blog and I especially like the way she presents it like no other.

Circling My Head ...

I can't help but love Renee. Spend some time with her and you'll know what I mean.

Your Mother Knows But Won't Tell You

I admire Holly's generosity and loyalty to her readers. I also appreciate her openess to learning new tricks. Holly's fun.

Grrl+dog

This is a relatively new blog to me that I find to be creatively inspiring.

I could easily add at least another ten to this list. There are an enormous amount of people doing wonderful things in blogland. To those of you who I'm sharing this award with please take it, enjoy it and do as you please.

I would like to thank Holly at Your Mother Knows But Won't Tell You for this very beautiful 'Splash Award'.

Thank you so very much for these treasures...

Click on anyone of these awards to meet the person who has contributed to this jewel box.

Thank you

Although it appears that the inner circle on the left is bigger, they're actually the same size!

defining Love...

It's Spring in my neck of the woods so let's talk about LOVE.

Love is a word that we're all familiar with and one that we wouldn't choose to live without.
Life as I know it is not possible without love.

Love comes from within.
We have to be love to know love.

The following is a comment that I left at Let's Live Forever!
post Love Gives Us Life that sums up my point of view of love...

...When we love ourselves we automatically love others…
As humans we often deny aspects of ourselves that we don’t like and this lack of acceptance leads us to deny loving ourselves as we need to so that we can love others.
Every aspect of human nature is of value and when we recognise the value of our multi faceted natures we are much more able to live a harmonious life...

There is a school of thought that believes that all that we experience comes directly from ourselves. I choose to be a part of that school of thought.

In doing so I therefore believe that whatever I experience is the direct outcome of what I am focusing on.

What I mean by this is that how I choose to think feel or experience any given situation is the result of how I react to it.

For example if I was in a diseased state I am not the disease. I am a person with the disease, but how I think, feel experience the disease is entirely up to me.

We often don't operate in this mode as most of us are not totally conscious at any one given time and tend to live on auto pilot.

What you believe to be true is true to you... Do you ever question what you believe?

What has this got to do with love?

Love I believe is in and around us all the time and it is up to us whether or not we recognise it.

Big love to ME & YOU.... after all we are one...

PS...

Pondering... if life is not possible without love does that mean that we have been created from love or have we created love to sustain life?

White people stole my car...

The good news about ignorance is that it's not a permanent condition.
We're all ignorant on one level or another.
As if by magic, Knowledge and Compassion easily alter the state of ignorance to one of Wisdom when we are willing to learn.

I'm back...

Phew!
I'm back...
It's been an arduous couple of weeks getting here.
We're settled now... as settled as one can be in just a few weeks, in a semi functioning house.
The extra $600 a month in rent isn't bringing us any extra pleasure at this point in time.
When it rains outside it rains inside.
Door handles have been replaced with bottle corks.
We've already had the toilet replaced and were without a working kitchen for two days.
The list goes on and on, but I'll stop here for the sake of sanity in the hope of focusing on the bright side all will be better soon.
Let's face it, in the scheme of life living without a toilet for half a day or a kitchen for a few isn't all that bad... is it?
Thank you for your lovely warm comments on my previous post. I think about you often.
I've been missing myself and am looking forward to being back on track and once again enjoying the wonderful world view from the perspective of Bloggers.
See ya soon...
best wishes
