3 weeks...

Here's what's on my mind.......

I believe that I need to take some time away from all that is blogging.

I want to utilise the time in other areas of my life and some of those areas include you.

I want to revisit and refine some of my concepts to enable me to share more and learn more.

So I'm going to say
'see you later' for a short time.

If you can read my mind we'll chat often.

I'll be back... and thank you so very much for being an integral part of me.
You contribute to making me a better person.

much love and best wishes

PS... the below is just for fun x
Enjoy...

You are The Moon

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

just for the record... i've never been on any medication for my mental health.

Once upon a dream...

Once upon a dream
we celebrated the convenience of plastic bags.
What are we celebrating today
that we may regret in the future?

Oh what a beautiful dream...

Title: Melting Pot

Artist: Blue Mink

Take a pinch of white man
Wrap it up in black skin
Add a touch of blue blood
And a little bitty-bit of red indian boy

Mm, curly latin kinkies
Mixed with yellow Chinkees
If you lump it all together
Well, you've got a recipe for a get-along scene
Oh, what a beautiful dream
If it could only come true
You know, you know

What we need is a great big melting pot
Big enough to take the world and all it's got
Keep it stirring for a hundred years or more
And turn out coffee-coloured people by the score
Yeah, Lord

Rabbis and the Friars
Bishops and the Gurus
You got the Beatles or the Sun God - it's true
Well, it really doesn't matter
What religion you choose
No no no - ooh

Mick and Lady Faithfull
Lord and Mrs. Graceful
You know the living could be tasteful
Oh, we should all get together in a lovin' machine
I'd better call up the Queen
It's only fair that she knows
You know, you know

What we need is a great big melting pot
Big enough to take the world and all it's got
Keep it stirring for a hundred years or more
And turn out coffee-coloured people by the score

Yeah, what we need
What we need is a great big melting pot
Big enough to take the world and all it's got
Keep it stirring for a hundred years or more
And turn out coffee-coloured people by the score

Yeah, yeah, yeah
What we need is a great big melting pot ....

Busselton part one...

Last year towards late Spring

we had to take a break from our usual routine

due to the home we rent undergoing major restoration.

I'm so pleased that it led us to spend time again

in the coastal country town of Busselton,

about a three hour drive south of Perth city.

I love the established lush gardens there

and some of the beautiful original homes.

From my perspective

there's something a little bit magical about being in a semi rural environment

alongside the sea.

I believe that it is a recipe for good health and wellbeing.

We were staying

about a sixty second walk

to this glorious beach.

When we care for Nature,

Nature cares for us.

Nature in a healthy state

offers endless entertainment

and food for the soul for all living creatures.

In this environment

no matter what the Spring weather served

there was fun to be had.

We are considering
the possibility of living there for a time.

infinite choices...

There’s a word I’m carrying around and keeping close to my heart this year.
It’s a word that automatically fills you with encouragement to expand, explore, dream and bring ideas to fruition.
I can’t begin to imagine life without its existence. I don’t believe that any of us could survive without it.

When we eliminate this word from our vocabulary we limit our potential.
We can feel stuck and lose the ability to dream.

The word is

possibilities...

Pick up this word and run with it to expand your potential. Have fun with it.

There are endless possibilities with the word possibilities on your mind and in your heart.

With this word comfortably resting in my heart and clear in my minds eye I can see joy for miles and miles ahead of me.

"You and I are essentially infinite choice-makers. In every moment of our existence, we are in that field of all possibilities where we have access to an infinity of choices."
- Deepak Chopra

Best wishes for all your possibilities...

pondering Suffering...

Visitors Warning for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders that there is an image included in these writings that may show deceased persons as it was taken ten years ago. Please be assured that my intentions are honourable.
Please with my whole heart I beg you not to steal this image as to do so would go beyond a simple act of theft.

In answer to a question that has been asked on more than one occasion …

Why Suffering?

This is my take on it...

To learn compassion we experience suffering.

We suffer more to learn more.

Compassion begins at home.
Home is where the heart lives.
Until we love ourselves completely we will continue to suffer.

(ask yourself how you can love yourself, rather than why you don't)

I have suffered less than some and more than others and this seems to be the way of the world.

Why do children need to suffer?....

I don't believe that they do need to suffer, but suffer as a direct result of broken adults.

All adults

no matter what your race or culture.

It's a vicious circle that begins and ends with us.

Each and every move that we make has an impact on someone and something.

We do need to watch our words and actions for the sake of ourselves and others.
As a wise man once said...

"be what you want the world to be"...

it begins with you.

You are extremely important.

Let's reshape our world together to one that provides for us all. I believe that this is possible and that there is no other direction to take.

If life was meant to be difficult then we would all sit comfortably in that position, but we don't.

We are constantly seeking or creating change.

You are not alone...

below is a quote taken from the comments section on my post 'I love hearts' that I feel says a lot.
It was written by Lori...

"i think a broken heart (which i've had more than once) is more beautiful when it mends, kind of like a mosaic, all the pieces coming together in a facinating patchwork that is personal and individual, no two the same. and i really love imperfection, so i am happy for my mended, imperfect, interesting heart."

Imperfection is something that we all have in common.

Forgiveness is something that we all need to share. A good place to start is with yourself.

best wishes always from someone who is forever learning to live her life through the eyes of love

I love hearts....

I love hearts...
I see them everywhere, anytime, anyplace... literally.
It's been like that for me for a long while.
I see them in nature, I see them in man made objects, I see them everywhere, everyday.
Yes it's true (to me) that a day doesn't pass where I don't see a heart.
Have a look, I bet you'll see them too. From my perspective the world is plastered with them.

I wonder when we began to use a heart as a symbol for love?

Have you ever experienced a broken heart?

I have often wondered if the experience of a broken heart is a necessity. My life has certainly been made more colourful as a result of one. Do you think that it's possible to sail through life without one? Have you ever met anyone who hasn't had the experience of a broken heart?

One of the reasons I decided to talk about hearts today is that I dropped in to see Re-read and she's having another giveaway and that being a heart. I'm being a little greedy here as I've already had the pleasure of one of her beautiful birds.

I enjoy Re-reads blog and her creativity and you may like the pleasure too...

RE-read: See you round like a rissole

There's someone else in the blogging world who has a thing for hearts... if you missed this beautiful heartfelt post/photographs, you may like to visit here

Also... Julie-Ann Bowden

...I recently have had the pleasure of stumbling across an artist who paints and shares with love.

Heavenleigh Art by Julie-Ann Bowden is so generous that some of her beautiful work is available for free-downloads. Take time to visit and enjoy her recent paintings of Renee and her family. They're wonderful.

and in continuation with hearts and angels here's an Oracle Card from Doreen Virtue's pack for us all today....

See Only Love

"Look past the seeming errors, mistakes, and misunderstandings, and see only the love within each person (including yourself).
Your resolute focus upon the love that underlies every situation brings about healing in undreamed-of ways."

best wishes

PS... I only today have worked out how to put text onto a photo... yep it's silly but true :)
I don't have photoshop either...
