Guerilla Knitting & See You Later.....

In recent times it has become quite popular here for knits to be done for organised public events.
That's not for me..... at this point in time I like to be a guerilla knitter in places where people don't expect to see it and surprise those who rarely venture beyond the suburbs.

Mostly my knits have had a long life, though publicity has not worked in my favour. As soon as it hits the local papers it soon disappears.
At one stage there was a bounty on my head. I discovered a marketing company offering a prize if the knitter could be photographed in action. I'm not keen to be known as I feel that this might spoil my fun.
My hand decorated tags often go walkabout before the knitting. That appeals to me in a round about way, as the tags bare messages written from my heart.

See You Later
I'm getting on a plane and am off to the most eastern part of Australia, a particularly beautiful spot, which is a very long way from here, to spend time with people I love, celebrate birthdays and have a taste of farm life.

I will be back here again, but when I'm not sure.
I do have a summer project to reignite that was started last summer, with other bloggers, that I will share with you in the New Year that involves a lot of beautiful hearts.
While I'm away remember to enoy blog link list where there are over 300 blogs listed for you to explore and enjoy.

Life is so much better when you share a smile

What you believe to be true is true for you.
Create the life you want to live.
Be what you want the world to be.

Thinking of You
See You Later

PS... here's another little guerilla thing I like to do ~ make origami hearts and put them inside things I donate to charity.

The story of electronics

The story of electronics was released on November 9TH and I think it is a timely reminder for consideration before purchasing electronic goods as gifts for Christmas or simply to update for ourselves.
I'm yet to be convinced of the freedom a lot of these gadgets offer.
I think there are very few of us who truly benefit from having the latest electronics on hand. Mostly I feel it just adds up to stress and landfill. They certainly offer little to know health benefits and are dangerous babysitters for children.

I'm not anti technology, but I don't like the consumer trail. We need to go about it in a better way so we don't indirectly pollute ourselves and enjoy the pleasures at the expense of others.

Where is the love...

Hello, I haven't been around as much of late due to a multitude of fun loving distractions.....

*preparing for Christmas
*celebrating birthdays, including my own
*organising things for my up coming trip to the most eastern point in Australia
*exploring and learning new stuff
*knitting the northern suburbs of Perth
..... and much more

Today I was searching for something beautiful to share with you to lighten the load of my previous post and the below video is what I finally decided on.
I know that this isn't every persons idea of beauty..... but the search for it led me here.

"Where Is The Love?" Black Eyed Peas

What's wrong with the world, mama
People livin' like they ain't got no mamas
I think the whole world addicted to the drama
Only attracted to things that'll bring you trauma
Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin'
In the USA, the big CIA
The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you're bound to get irate, yeah
Madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love, y'all, y'all

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love
The love, the love

It just ain't the same, always unchanged
New days are strange, is the world insane
If love and peace is so strong
Why are there pieces of love that don't belong
Nations droppin' bombs
Chemical gasses fillin' lungs of little ones
With ongoin' sufferin' as the youth die young
So ask yourself is the lovin' really gone
So I could ask myself really what is goin' wrong
In this world that we livin' in people keep on givin'
in
Makin' wrong decisions, only visions of them dividends
Not respectin' each other, deny thy brother
A war is goin' on but the reason's undercover
The truth is kept secret, it's swept under the rug
If you never know truth then you never know love
Where's the love, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the truth, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the love, y'all

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love, the love, the love?

I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
As I'm gettin' older, y'all, people gets colder
Most of us only care about money makin'
Selfishness got us followin' our wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what they see in the cinema
Yo', whatever happened to the values of humanity
Whatever happened to the fairness in equality
Instead of spreading love we're spreading animosity
Lack of understanding, leading lives away from unity
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' under
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' down
There's no wonder why sometimes I'm feelin' under
Gotta keep my faith alive till love is found
Now ask yourself

Where is the love?
Where is the love?
Where is the love?
Where is the love?

Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love?

Sing wit me y'all:
One world, one world (We only got)
One world, one world (That's all we got)
One world, one world
And something's wrong wit it (Yeah)
Something's wrong wit it (Yeah)
Something's wrong wit the wo-wo-world, yeah
We only got
(One world, one world)
That's all we got
(One world, one world)

Share love as often as you can
best wishes always

Wake up & please HELP this is outrageous

Recently I was invited to see a movie that will be screening in December at our State library, but I’m unable to attend as I’ll be interstate. I often enjoy watching alternatives as opposed to mainstream movies.
I hadn’t heard anything of this documentary ‘What in the World are They Spraying’ prior to the invitation and decided to Google it to find out what I’d be missing. As it turns out I won’t be missing anything as I was able to easily watch it online.
It’s a thought provoking film in a way that doesn’t make me feel totally comfortable.
Chemtrails, nano technology, morgellons disease, geo engineering and military chaff, are a few terms that I am now familiar with since watching
'What in the World are They Spraying'.

I want your opinion as I’m a very long way away from America and the documentary is about you.
I’m curious about the subject matter and want to know if this is totally new to you too and really is the stuff of science fiction and conspiracy theorists.

Just one of those words, chemtrail, has had me meandering around the internet for days on a fascinating journey of minds sharing their opinions of our world.

Eventually it led me here ‘The World According to Monsanto’ and this I believe is a must see documentary by an award winning French female journalist Marie-Monique Robin.
I must apologise for the fact that I only viewed this particular documentary in recent days and wish I had have known about it when it was first released in March 2008.
If you don’t watch anything else this year please make the time to watch this. It effects us all, animals and plant life included. I completely understand that many of you won’t be able to watch these videos right here and now, but I beg of you to please take time before too long to view it all.
The more of us informed the more likely we are able to create changes for the better.

We need to look after ourselves.

I sincerely hope with all my heart that you will make time to watch this must see documentary about our food source.

Below are three videos of part 1 to 3 and the others that go up to 10 can be viewed on youtube if you are unable to secure the dvd.

Please share this with all the people you know and love. Let's educate ourselves about our food source to enable us to make conscientious decisions about what we eat.

Imagine Peace

Be Peace

Live Peace

I won't be posting anything here again for a while as I really want this documentary to reach as many as possible to help us live a better life.

I'm sure that none of us want to see our world's food source being manipulated by one corporation.

Our poor darling bees, how strange it must be for them.

I hope that what I have shared with you here will take you on a journey of discovery that will help you make more informed decisions about your future purchases.

Here's a link to the Australian True Food Network, which is loaded with useful information in relation to food purchasing here in Australia

and here's one for my American friends too,

be well

around our home... part 2

Hi and welcome to around my home part two.
I'm showing you aspects of where we live to let you know a little bit more about me and also for myself to have a bit of a visual record of where I'm currently living as I move house a lot.

I won't rabbit on about the photos too much as I'm sure you're happy to just browse.

Thank you very much to all of you who support my blog. I very much appreciate your encouragement and kind words. Just about everything is so much more fun if it can be shared.

I'm taking some time away from all things that are Blog....

I intend to return to visiting with you and posting around the 17th November, which is in two weeks time.

Right now I'm going to go and be a guerilla.

It's the perfect day for it as it is Melbourne Cup day here in Australia and our nation comes to a standstill..... so for me as a guerilla knitter it is the perfect opportunity to brighten up dull areas around the suburbs of Perth, without being seen as others are busy with horses.

I've got lots of knitting I want to show you upon my return.

Love to you all

and thanks again for being here.

PS... here's a random thought I'd like to leave you with.....

People make the world beautiful,

so create an opportunity to hug one today.
