Aww very Aussie. Our spring seems delayed over here, it's wet and overcast even if it is a bit warmer. Haven't even seen our first clutch of ducklings yet. I love the crow chasing the ducks off. That's a quintessentialy WA pictorial if I say so myself.
so facinating robyn, i would love to be there with you, i want to ask questions about each bird, tree, plant...there is so much diversity in your world. maybe someday i'll be able to make a trip down under. thank you for sharing these lovely photos.
What beautiful, amazing photographs! I envy your view. Cockatoos are my favorite birds, the parrots that are easiest for me to get along with. Thank you for posting such beauty! I am going to follow you now so I do not miss any more of your posts.
"When children see animals in a circus, they learn that animals exist for our amusement. Quite apart from the cruelty involved in training and confining these animals, the whole idea that we should enjoy the humiliating spectacle of an elephant or lion made to perform circus tricks shows a lack of respect for the animals as individuals" - Peter Singer

It is good to be reminded that such places still exist.

What a beautiful snapshot of our part of the world. Nature is amazing but Australia excels in natural beauty and is so very unique to this land.
