Summer love...

Hanging out in undies behind closed doors with curtains and blinds drawn, waiting for the
Fremantle Doctor ...

Outside the grass is yellow, a bit like straw and crunchy under feet like sundried leaves.
The pavement is blistering hot.
During endless days of intense heat the odd cloud appears to bring relief from the glare.
Silver green leaves dot the native trees that survive with little to no water for months on end.
Weeds thrive, gardens don't.

Now I know what a Fremantle Doctor is. You learn something every day.

Hello Robyn! Hope you have enjoyed your summer vacation. Your pictures are great! It's so strange to think it's hot somewhere on this earth...though we have not had much of a winter here in Kansas which is smack dab in the middle of the USA. It's been unseasonably warm.

Have a great rest of your week and summer!

G'day Robyn. Stunning photos as always. Love the fireworks one and the sunset. Just beautiful. Yes, our good old Aussie summer can be a scorcher. We have had a couple of cooler days here in Victoria where I live, thank goodness, the heat was getting to me. I don't envy you. Take care. Liz...

I loved reading about the weather down there as I sit listening to the endless winter drizzle here in Oregon, USA. I also enjoyed the photos, especially the one of your dog behind weeds. I suppose it's your dog since I saw it in two other photos as well.

WOW! How you tease with your captures of heat, sunshine and ocean while we in Ccnada still navigate the harsh, ever-changing winter. Jealous! LOVE the photos; they sing your joy. Thank you for sharing.

So pretty and cheery while I sit in dreary Atlanta, Georgia. Dark and gloomy blah. I had to check out Fremantle Doctor and now want to impress my friends with my new lingo. Can think of all kinds of fun ways to use that one. Keep posting your dreamy photos!

OK, I'm not sure what a Fremantle Doctor is but undies sound like good things to hang out in when it's hot. Oh, and that dog is so cute, I bet he loves the ocean. I have heat envy now though, here in the Northern hemisphere it is much, much colder than there. Lovely shots of your area. Thanks for stopping by and saying hello.

Rib, could you please see what you can do to get Perth moved, at least the next state over from me so I can visit with you regularly? I would so love to experience the world with you in real time. I always adore coming here to see you.

Send some warmth our way will you! We haven't had much of a summer this year. I have heard of the good Doctor in a book I edited on the weather. I like the blue lady at the top of your page. She looks a little stern, like you wouldn't want to cross her! :o)

Okay, now that I know what a Freemantle Doctor is, I can say that I adore your photos.

Also that I felt the intensity of the heat in your written word.
Excellent!

Hey lets make a deal....I'll send you some rain, if you send me some sunshine.
